Fox Hill Farms offers full-service board for horses and ponies whose riders wish to participate in our lesson program. It's a great place to bring your valued equine friend, with expert care and training from seasoned professionals. For added peace of mind, live-in staff is available around the clock if needed.
Board includes feeding, grooming, stall cleaning, turn-out, trimming, tack cleaning and tack-ups. Additional charges include lessons at boarder rates, schooling, farrier, feed supplements, and veterinary care.
Leasing a horse or pony
Fox Hill has a number of talented, well-schooled horses and ponies available for full or half lease.
With a full lease, you have exclusive use of the horse, and are responsible for all of the horse's expenses.
With a half lease, you are entitled to the use of the horse for four days a week, and you assume half of the horse's expenses. The specific days are arranged with the barn and the horse's other rider.
The base lease fee includes feeding, grooming, stall cleaning, turn-out, tack-ups, and use of tack and horse clothing. Additional charges such as schooling, farrier, feed supplements, and veterinary care are paid in full with a full lease, and split with a half lease.
Lessons at boarder rates are charged separately.
Training
Horses and ponies who live at Fox Hill are schooled on a regular basis by our staff of experienced trainers and instructors. Regular training by knowledgeable professionals can help keep your horse sharp and responsive to your aids, maintain your horse's skills on the flat, help your horse retain a correct jumping style, and help prevent bad habits from developing.
